I frequently read on blogs that quilters don't know what to make for a boy, especially a teenager. Well, I had the same problem with my son when he turned thirteen. I wanted to make him something special. So that is how I came up with the Roda JC quilt. Roda JC is a Dutch soccer team (doing pretty lousy this season and just now losing with 3-1 once again). But Thijme is still a fan even though he is quite disappointed.

That's a great quilt for a boy Simone. Both my sons would like another quilt, but they're in their 20s and not football fans, so I'm on the lookout for some suitable fabric and will think of ideas when I find the fabric.
What a great idea of a sports themed quilt! I like it so much better than everything else I've seen!
Quilts for teenage boys are hard for me, and I have three daughters so they are also a mystery to me. Well done on this quilt. It's very striking!
