Second 'Pincushion of the month'

Last week I received the second pincushion of the month. It's so different from the first one. Look at the beautiful pin that was added to it!

Yesterday I went to buy a PS3 game with and for my son. Of course I couldn't resist buying these in the store next door.
PS3 and ribbons??? Two very different worlds.

Magical Christmas Stitching by Lynette Anderson

This is part of the wonderful border. Don't you just love seeing Santa Claus flying with his reindeer!

So I've finally continued to work on one of my Christmas projects. Part of it is shown on the second entry of October 18th. I finished 'Angels are everywhere' and am now starting with 'I love Santa'. Can't wait to start with the border!

Do take a look here for a free pattern by Lynette. I haven't made it yet, but it does belong to one of my "Yet another gorgeous project to make" list.

Another quilt to finish

Lately I found another quilt top that has been lying here for many many years. I just love the warm autumn colors! It is hand made and I never quilted it, because I thought I had to do it by hand. But then, my left arm and shoulder don't like me quilting, so isn't it better to just finish it on the sewing machine! So this is my next quilting project next to the quilt I do by hand for Laura.

Finished Quilt (the first one this year) and Silly Bunny

A close up

I finished the first out of two quilts I planned to finish before I allow myself to make a new top for a big quilt. I quilted it on the sewing machine and am quite satisfied. Happy I finally finished it.

I also added a picture of one of the Silly Bunnies I made from a pattern by Melly & Me. She loves the warmth of the new quilt. Her friend is upstairs in my daughters room. The fabrics were in a package from http://hiphandwerk.nl/home.html. Aren't the colors just wonderful =) I really enjoyed making them.

I have some more Lynette Anderson stitcheries!

Let peace fill your home

It's Christmas time

Since Christmas will be sooner than later, I started to look what projects I didn't finish last year. And guess what. I found another Lynette Anderson pattern: Magical Christmas Stitching. I'm richer than I thought. As you can see, I completed two parts, one is almost ready and then there is "I love Santa" to go and the gorgeous borders! I find the borders the best part of this quilt!

Hope I'll finish this quilt before Christmas!

My first stitchery

A pattern by Lynette Anderson

Detail

All my creations, creativity and energy this past year started with a pattern by Lynette Anderson (www.lynetteandersondesigns.typepad.com/). It opened a new world for me. Thank you Lynette=))

I had been planning to start quilting again for a very long time, but somehow I couldn't get myself started since I had so many other things to do.
A 10 day stay at the hospital, due to heart problems, made me realize that there is more to life than just work, studying and trying to keep up with everything around me. That is when I found Lynette's pattern at http://www.thelogcabin.de/ in Germany.
Since then each day is filled with stitchery, patchwork, quilting, pincushions, dolls, pencil rolls, etc. etc. A day without it, I feel a bit lost.
