Australia in Amsterdam (o:

Last weekend Ger and I met Lyn and her DH in Amsterdam. Lyn and I have been corresponding for nearly 2 years now, among others about their visit to Europe. And here we were, in Amsterdam, seeing each other in real for the first time (((o:

It felt as if we had known each other for a very long time. We had such a wonderful time, the four of us. On Sunday evening Laura was able to join us for dinner. We went to the Pancake Bakery, where we could choose a pancake out of I think 100. They were yummy!

On Sunday we visited Amsterdam. The weather was beautiful!
Zondag hebben we gezellig door Amsterdam gewandeld. Het weer was prachtig!

On Monday we went to Marken, Volendam and Egmond aan Zee. Once again, the weather was beautiful! We could even sit outside to eat our 'kroketten' and 'appelgebak met slagroom' (appelcake with cream). What a lovely lovely time it was!
Unfortunately we had to leave Lyn and her DH behind in their hotel in Amsterdam on Monday evening. It was so nice being with them, chatting, walking, sightseeing, chatting, chatting, chatting.
Thank you Lyn and DH for your wonderful wonderful visit. We had a great time with the two of you!!!

Back to earth. Look at the lovely goodies that came to me last week from Melanie. We made the tablerunners together I showed you in the last post. She had some leftovers and made a cute little mat for me in the same pattern as the tablerunner. Now take a good look at the little box she sent me and the charm pack that was inside. In reminded me of London somehow!
Thank you, lieve Melanie, for this lovely surprise!

These are the blocks I made for Amanda, for the Euro Bee. I just love the combination of purple and blue!

Last week I have not really done a lot. My arms and shoulders hurt and my neck is starting too. Not sure whether it is the writing behind the computer or sewing. I think it is the first one.
However, I was able to work on my Halloween quilt, which I hope to finish this week and on a present for a dear blogging friend, which I can not show until she has received it.

The woods are full of fairies;
The sea is full of fish;
The trees are full of golden leaves;
Let's make an autumn wish!

(leuke foto's trouwens, hihi)

How lovely those blocks look Simone, I can't wait to see them for real. I hope it wasn't stitching them that gave you a sore neck.
