This week I received the first block of the Designer Mystery Block of the Month brought by the Fat Quarter Shop. Twelve different designer will design a block each month. The fabrics are so pretty and make you happy just looking at them.

My Schnibbles is getting along fine. I finished 16 of the 25 blocks. This time I did not use charm packs, but went through my stash. I used fabrics from three different ranges. And I must saying trying to match fabrics from you stash, makes the journey more exciting!

On Saturday DH and I went to Amsterdam to celebrate Laura's birthday. Our little girl will be 19 years old on Monday. It will be the first time we won't celebrate her birthday together. I must say, that does feel empty. But, we were happy to visit her yesterday (O:

Picture top left: old façade combined with new buildings.
Top right: I think about 65% of the Dutch were watching the football match Netherlands - Japan while Laura and I went shopping through Amsterdam. On the picture you can see fans celebrating after the match.
Bottom right: graffiti - love the colors they used here!
Bottom left: loved the saying, which I'll try to translate below.

How
if you could
surround yourself
with light-heartedness
and that that
would be
your space

I like the Schnibbles pattern, I think you chose some lovely fabrics from your stash :) The Mystery BOM block looks great - I'm trying very hard to resist signing up for that one!

I still remember how wrong it felt the first time either of our sons celebrated their birthdays without us - and the first time I had my birthday without seeing them.

How wonderful to take a boat ride down the river in the city.

Our kids are growing up aren't they? It's hard to not be sad about it.

You have an eye for the fabric selection.

Hi Simone, have you changed the name of your blog? Sorry if I missed it somewhere? I like it! It's sad not celebrate birthdays with our children. I had a few of those now. Glad you spend time shopping with her instead of watching the FWC - love the photos - Hugs Nat

The Mystery BOM look very pretty and your color choice for Schnibbles too : I always make my Schnibbles with stash fabrics, this month I ordered exceptionally charm packs with my gift certificate & received only one in place of two.... I have to reorder fabric yardage for border ! Hope i receive in time for the end of the month !

Have a nice monday!
