Lente

Morning walk impressions
Wat ik 's ochtends tegenkom

First there was one sheep and one lamb

Then there was another sheep ... a day later with two lambs.

The shepherd told us, that the sheep in the back is there for company. Poor thing. She is there all alone. She even came to me twice on Sunday and I was allowed to pat her. Sheep 55205. I called her Grietje.

Schaap 55205. Ik heb haar Grietje genoemd.

So cute!!!

Zakka style pincushion

As you know, I joined the Zakka Style Sew Along. This is the zakka pincushion, the third project. I stitchted the tree on the button.
Each time, a talented blogger gives us tips on making the project of the week. Amy at Pink Pinguin gave some great tips here, which you can use for many more projects.
Instead of linen, I am using Essex for the zakka projects, which you can get here and here.

pink bunny and pink socks

I made this little bunny mug rug for Laura for Easter. I used Gwen's design and tutorial, which you can find here.

Last week my sister from England was here with one of her sons. Some months ago she knitted me these socks, but somehow I never dared to wear them. Last week I finally did and they feel good! They are made from bamboo.

I decided to wear the striped socks, because my sister made me another pair. I can't just leave them there to only look at. These have become my bed socks (o:

Once in a while I come accross these cute donkeys. We live about one km away from them, but I can tell you, if they start to bray, it's as if they are standing next to you.

Isn't it sweet. Look at the curls.
Is die niet schattig. En kijk eens naar de krullen

This one was a bit shy.
Deze was een beetje verlegen.

Zakka style bag

I decided to join the Zakka Style Sew Along, because I have had the book for a while now and have been wanting to make projects from it. Twenty-four weeks long there will be sew along for each project. Different bloggers will share their finished project each week and add tips. For the first project I could  use all her tips, such as making a smaller pleat.

The back. Click on the picture for a better look at the white fabric. I love Paris!
Parijs!

I have had this pattern for a while too and really wanted to finish it for Easter this year! As you can see, it was a beautiful day today! Laura and I could even have a nice latte macchiato outside (o: They are expecting wet snow tomorrow. Maybe our part of the Netherlands can be spared from it!

Misschien blijven wij bespaard!

Nothing crafty but amazing

On Wednesday, when Ger came home, we immediately put on our hiking shoes, to take a walk to Strijthagen, a region not so far away from here, but where we hadn't been for many many years.

Prachtige weerspiegeling.

Ger and I couldn't believe our eyes, when we saw a stork flying over us.

It landed and started to collect branches.

When I looked up after taking the picture, the squirrel was gone.

I can hardly believe we have not visited this beautiful part of our country that is so nearby, for such a long time. Soon we will be going there again! So much to see and so peaceful.
