Stained Glass backing and more

This week I finished the backing to my Stained Glass top. It took me longer than I had anticipated ... So, now the layering can start. Painful gymnastics for my back and knees next week.

I made this pouch with Michelle's newest pattern. The moment I saw it, I knew I had to make it. You can put your iPad in it, or school stuff or ... And I just love the extra pocket. You can put your smart phone in it and some extra small things. The patterns required lots of cutting, but once you were done with that, it was lots of fun to make!

Since a few weeks, Stephanie from Loft Creations introduces one of her Supremes on Sunday in a fun interview. Today it is my turn. If you would like to read it, please go here.
Stephanie did a wonderful job in adding the pictures I sent her.

Autumn impressions taken from our front garden. As you can see, part of the tree is in the sun and part in the shade. I should have photo shopped the pictures, to make the colors brighter. I am too lazy ...

"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."

-  Albert Camus

"Come said the wind to
the leaves one day,
Come o're the meadows
and we will play.
Put on your dresses
scarlet and gold,
For summer is gone
and the days grow cold."

-  A Children's Song of the 1880's

This one is for you, Melanie:

"Delicious autumn!  My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth
seeking the successive autumns."

-   George Eliot

Your backing is another top, it is so beautiful! It was nice to see you at Loft Creations.
Our trees are almost without leaves by now, glad to see your beautiful colours in the half sun.

Fantastic backing for the stained glass quilt. I love the vivid colors of the leaves. They glow in the sunshine. Looks like the type of day we're having. I'm very happy to have you as a Supreme.

Love the quote- thanks for sharing.
What beautiful colours you are having. Autumn is filled with jewelled gowns on every tree, waltzing on the breeze. I am so enjoying it and wearing slouch socks and leggings again.

The stained glass backing will be perfect with the top. Good luck layering it up.

Cute bag!

Fijne week.

The stained glass quilt will be fantastic :) I always layer and baste quilts on our dining room table. Maybe an idea? It's much better for the knees.

I saw your intro at Stephanies - a great way to introduce you.

Oh, wow! I love the stained glass back you made! It's just as beautiful as the front. Our trees look just like yours. So beautiful, so beautiful, but it won't last long. Yesterday the wind took many leaves down to the ground. I love your poems and quotations!

Your interview with Stephanie was delightful, Simone!! I've enjoyed the whole series of interviews. I really like your pieced backing. I haven't attempted one, yet, but I've seen so many beautiful backs, it won't be long before I join the bandwagon!! ~karen
