5 in a row

A friend of mine wanted some Christmas pouches for a pretty branch she has in front of her window. I really had fun making these, of course again with essex. The fabric is so my favorite and inspires me in many ways!

Another little pouch. Some of you will know for who I made this, having different elements she enjoys. I now have three more frames left. Still thinking what kind of pouch I will make with them.

En hier nog een tasje. Ik heb nu nog drie beugeltjes. Eens kijken welke tasje ik daar mee ga maken.

 With a tiny stitchery.
Met een heel klein stitchery.

I have started an Advent's calendar this week, the Advent Activity Calendar by Empty Bobbins. It is so cute! Lots of work though, but I am getting there. I am making the stockings with scraps from the Designer Mystery BOM 2010.

Instead of clipping corners and curves as shown on the picture, I used the zigzag sciccor. So much easier and faster and it works perfectly.

Well, I couldn't help myself to start cross stitching. Somehow I am not enjoying stitching at the moment, so I had to find something to keep me busy in the evenings. I was inspired by this post, linking to a site and you know what happens from there ... There is so much beauty to find - for free! This pattern is by Manuela: the Christmas Mystery SAL. Every 2 weeks we receive a part of the pattern, the 4th and last part on December 5th. Part 1 is done (o:

This is another project I started this week. It is a BOM from 2010, designed by Sylvia. October is done.

Bibi is not having such a good day today. Everytime we come near her, she gets up and walks away. Poor little girl. Yesterday she had a very good day, though (o:
I guess she doesn't want anything to do with us.

She is taking a peek though ...
Toch moet ze even spieken ...

I so like the cross stitch you're doing, a pretty pattern and it looks wonderful in the green against the white background. Poor Bibi, is she unwell or is it just the change of season making her feel a bit fed up?

I love the essex. And so many pretty colors available too. Clever pouch ideas. I love your frame purse. That is such a pretty frame. Most of the ones I've seen are plain. It's nice to have things to keep you busy when you might not want to sew. Bibi knows you all love her. Sometimes she just needs some alone time. :o) An old girl's prerogative.

Lots of beautiful projects! Where do you find the time? I love the little green purse. And the stitcheries are lovely. Poor Bibi. Mini has been hiding from me also. We have had rain for two days already and it will continue for the whole week. Mimi doesn't like the rain on the solarium roof. So she hides under my dresser, the same as Bibi, with one eye open and one eye closed.

Fijne week.

Love the cross stitch Simone....I started one here too last week...Not much being done here in the sewing departmet as the play is taking up a lot of time and then when I come home I'm a bit too tired for needle and thread! Hope to get back in the swing of it though when it's all over....Liefs, Dzintra xo

Aww sounds like Bibi doesn't want her pack seeing her low. Lovely cross stitches. I wish I had the patience for it. I have one which was begun years ago!

Yes I think I can guess the purse. :-)

Lovely little bags! They make a great display.

Hier ben ik weer even! Wat ben je lekker bezig Simone. Leuke projectjes. De tasjes zijn adorable.
Wat is Bibi zielig. Is ze echt ziek? Of is het de leeftijd? Arm beetsje.

Hmmm, I just wonder who that green, polka dot pouch could be for?? It's delightful. When I settle for the winter in TX, I'm going to try to make one (or three!). They are so cute. Love all your other projects, too. ~karen
