Happy Autumn ~ Happy Halloween

Happy Spooky Halloween

We have had some lovely autumn days last week. Below you can see some off the things Ger and I saw during our walk yesterday morning, when the sun was not shining yet.

The wind playing with a leave hanging from a tree.

turning and ...

turning ...

Bibi also had a very good time.

I have been working on some smaller projects last week, which I will soon show you. I've even done some paper piecing!!!

A Halloween Wish

Author: Nancy Hughes
I'd like to go fishing
for a star
and send it to you
wherever you are...

...to wrap you once more
in the spells of the night
and fill all your senses
with awe and delight.

To make you a pirate
or perhaps a queen;
to experience the magic
of Halloween.

To capture again
the mystery and surprise
as can only be seen
through a small child's eyes.

;))! Heerlijk!)

What a sweet Halloween wallhanging. You have such beautiful Autumn colours at the moment. After the strong wonds a lot of the trees are naked here. I am really liking the dark reds almost black-red at the moment. Perhaps a knitting project idea?

Hello Simone,

Thanks for letting me join you in your morning walk. I love the shapes in that fungi in the first photo of your walk.
Happy days to you.

BEAUTIFUL autumn glow and Halloween fun, Simone! Your stitched wall hanging is sweet, the fabrics borders are great enhancement. I'm originally from the US, and my experience of Halloween feels different living here in Norway. We do have Halloween here in Norway, but just the trick-or-treating, tacky commericialized circus that is taken for Halloween. It's mostly for children. Not many adults know what it is or bother with it, viewing it as an "imported" holiday. We don't have many treaters coming round, so some years, like this year, we didn't even get in candy. Which is probably, Ok--then not tempted to eat the leftovers... LOL... ;o) Happy Day ((HUGS))
