Vintage Spools meets French General

I finished my Vintage Spools quilt, designed by Sephanie from Loft Creations. This was a wonderful fun project to make and I love the result with the French General fabrics! If you click on the picture, you can take a closer look and see that the borders are made with the sides of the fabrics. French General always has such pretty borders on their fabrics and now I could finally use them (o:
In the original pattern, Stephanie used ric rac for the sashing. I am still not quite sure whether I will do that. I think it looks very pretty this way!

And I could actually sit outside for a while today, to finish the Vintage Spools. Bibi decided to join me (o:

What a lovely finish Simone! It is splendid! This is on my list to make as soon as I can. Stephanie's gorgeous Oak Park bag is next on my list then Spools.

I'm also a big fan of French General;) Your VS quilt is stunning! It was a great idea to use the edge of the fabrics on the borders! I think too your quilt is absolutely fine without ric racs... PS. Fenix is sending Meouw -greetings to Bibi;)

Bibi looks very interested in something. Maybe she was waiting for you to finish the quilt for her?
