Amsterdam - small projects - endless summer - Heerlen and more

If you are really going to read this post, you might want to take a cup of tea or coffee, before you start.

On Tuesday Ger and I headed for Amsterdam to meet dear Melanie from House Elves and her husband, who stayed in Amsterdam for several days. What a delight it was, to finally meet Melanie (o: The weather was beautiful and we had a wonderful time, chatting, going to the quilting shop Den Haan en Wagenmakers, meeting Annelies, who works there, chatting, more chatting, walking, having a nice drink outside, chatting, visiting the Begijnhof, chatting, another nice sit outside etc. etc. Laura joined us half way, which was lots of fun too (o:
Thank you so much, Melanie, for visiting Amsterdam and giving me the chance to meet you!!!

Some more mug rugs.
Nog een paar mok matten.

Le Petite for March, a design by Pam Buda called Endless Summer. If you look closely, you can see, that the pinwheel within the star was not made seperately. Such a clever pattern! And so much fun to make.
Remember to go to Sherri's and Sinta's blog on the 31st of this month to see all those other Endless Summers!

On Sunday Ger and I took a wonderful walk from our home. The weather was beautiful once again. On the pictures you can see, that spring is really there! Look at the buds above, that are almost exploding to reach for the sun!

Look at the gifts above. All for free. You just have to keep you eyes opened.
Kijk eens wat een traktatie. Gratis en voor niets. Gewoon goed blijven kijken tijdens het wandelen.

Just a view during our walk.
Zomaar een opname.

Every year this tree shows itself from its prettiest side in the spring.

Thank you for the tour - and the postcard arrived ten minutes ago! I wish I could have been there with you, Amsterdam is a beautiful and interesting city.
Your newest quilts and the teapot are very pretty. The pink tree is wonderful. For us only the pussy willows are promising that the spring will eventually come.

How lucky to meet another blogger! Amsterdam is so pretty. I especially loved what you said about the gifts of nature being offered for free. That was very nice. I hope we can take care of nature to pay it all back. Sometimes I get so discouraged with thoughtless mismanagement of our earth for greed's sake. Your mug rugs are quite pretty and what a clever mug warmer you made. ~karen

Liebe Simone,
Ganz liebe Grüße an dich, deine Jutta
