Thimble 3, 4 and 5 for the Craft Olympics

In August Melanie intorduced a challenge: The Craft Olympic Athlete. I had all kinds of plans for it and think that I only kept to one. But, I did manage to start 3 new techniques and picked up one that I hadn't done for ages.
Below you see some of the bracelets I made using a very thick knitting and crochet needle. (thimble 3)

(thimble3)

For the amber yellow braceletI used vintage buttons that I found in this old tin box.

This necklace is made from an old t-shirt in one of my favorite colors. (thimble 4)
(thimble 4)

Thimble 5?????

Oh, there it is (o: This cute stitchery hasn't found a place in our home yet. I think I will save it for next year. You can find the free pattern here. It was lots of fun to make! And look at the little sewing machine. Perfect in a Christmas tree.

Some more stitcheries I made over the past months.

Another fresh new year is here . . .
Another year to live!
To banish worry, doubt, and fear,
To love and laugh and give!

This bright new year is given me
To live each day with zest . . .
To daily grow and try to be
My highest and my best!

I have the opportunity
Once more to right some wrongs,
To pray for peace, to plant a tree,
And sing more joyful songs!

WONDERFUL to see the remaining projects for your Thimble collection, Simone! LOVE the fiber jewelry--the-t-shirt necklace is especially stylish! Love that soft, lilac color. Great way to recycle! Your cross stitch tree is so charming. What a sweet thing to work on during the holidays, and be able to save for next Christmas. It's been such to see what you've chosen to work on during the Craft Olympics. And to see what we all have taken on as creative challenges. Here's to friendship & creativity shared in the New Year! Wishing you all the very best of LOVE, PEACE & JOY, my friend ((HUGS)) P.S. Many thanks for the birthday wishes. :o)
