Another finish, my Christmas Wish and a sneak peek

This week my dear friend from the States called me. It was great hearing her voice again. She became grandmother for the second time and will have another grandchild next year in May.
This is the wallhanging I made for her second grandchild. I still have to finish the parts where they can hang it up on, but I am waiting for buttons from the UK, which still have not arrived. The colors are brighter than shown on the picture.

Here is the second part of my Christmas Wish. I made borders with a creme colored fabric that has a silver glitter pattern on it. It fits to it very well. You don't see the glitters on this picture, but you might see it on the next one. I think the green border suits the top best and the binding will be in the same fabric.

The glitter is still hard to see /O:

And here is block 2 of the Gail Pan's Christmas Wish that I am trying to finish together with Melanie, Lyn and Karen. Even though I'm making it for the second time, it is once again lots of fun to make (O:

This week I started a new project. I want to finish the top by Christmas. There are 11 more blocks to go. It is the Web Sampler Celebration 4. This is block 9 by The Fat Quarter Shop.

And this is a sneak peek of a very cute project I also started this week. I have not made one for a long long time and happy to have found a gorgeous pattern. More next week, when I hope to have it finished (O:

Here is a picture of my sweet dog Bibi, keeping me company in my new sewing room. The picture is a mess, but if you only look at Bibi, it is very nice. This is Laura's room, that I work in when she is not there. It is great to have a sewing place where you can leave your stuff and start again whenever you want to, without having to get things ready again. This saves lots of time!

I love the glitter fabric sashing in your Christmas Wish quilt! And I know how wonderful it must be to be able to leave your sewing out...I didn't have a sewing room until my older daughter went to college!

Hi darling Simone! :-)

Wow - as always you have so many interesting things to share!!

Your friend's new grandbaby is going to *love* the quilt you made - so bright and cheerful! I am very intrigued by your sneak peek! I have no ideas what it could be...perhaps an item of clothing?!! I shall wait patiently to find out!

I hope you are well my dear friend. Bibi looks like a great companion!!

Hello Simone, You have been busy. The baby quilt is lovely and bright and your Christmas one is coming along nicely. Bibi looks right at home in your sewing room. Happy days.

What a bright childrens wallhanging, I think it is very cute. I like your christmas work a lot too. I still have to stitch the last of Gails Blocks, but I agree they are lots of fun to make. And did you really believe we would just look at your cute dog, oh no, everyone wants to see the mess in your sewing room, but don´t worry, we all have messy sewingrooms.

Well done Simone. I love how your 1st Christmas Wish is looking. The baby quilt is so gorgeous.

Awww Bibi! I get company only if there is a quilt on the floor needing layering up. I think the room becomes a hound magnet then, so I am careful to shut the door so it's not rucked up and nested on. LOL The rest of the time Angel waits by the door on the carpet- no floor board laying for the pampred pooch. :-)

Oooo interesting purple fabrics in your sneak peek.

Mila Simone...gosh you have been busy as always!!! What a lovely bright quilt for the little one♥
The green border is perfect...I see you didn't cut up all the squares (as in the pattern)...yours is much quicker, perhaps I should have thought of that!!! That block 9 is simply stunning...I just love it♥ Your Bibi has a red mat just like my Paris...Happy Stitching Dear Friend♥x

Liebe Simone,

Viele liebe Grüße an dich,
deine Jutta
