Magical Christmas

The postman brought me these (O:

I think the special part of this button is, that Lynette actually has a cat called Felix, who is a very good friend of her dog Hugo. You should really have to take a look on her blog to see how these two pets get along so nicely!

Magical Christmas almost finished
Laura, my daughter has been creative once again. Look at the tiny stitches she makes. She certainly does have good eyes!
Today when we got up, we had snow!!! Our first snow in November. Doesn't it look beautiful. Our dog Bibi loves running around in the snow. It makes her active and happy.
And here's my Magical Christmas almost finished. I have one more border to go and then I'll be able to finish it! I must say, I'm quite satisfied. This is a very fun project to make!

Some more Magical Christmas and some wonderful fabrics
The top border is a Christmas tree that goes on the left side. After I finish the 'Stars make way..." border, I only have one more to go and then I can put the quilt together. I do think I will have it finished by Christmas now (O:
Look at these fabulous fabrics I bought at Pink Chalk Studio. They are for a quilt I want to make with our black leather sofa.
Here are some more wonderful fabrics. Don't you just love the hugs and the kisses fabric. I really look forward to making something out of these. Pink is after all my favorite color.
And then I got these two patterns by Melly and Me. Their patterns often suprise me, since they often have a very special way of making their softies. Magoo will be made from the fabric the patterns are on.

Pink Chalk Studio and Lynette Anderson and Sue Daley's giveaway
Pattern: Bento Bos by Tracey Brookshier. This quilt was not made by me! I took the picture from a card, Kathy of Pink Chalk Studio send to me along with two of her patterns by Pink Chalk Studio: Note Taker and Pencil Roll. Both patterns have the description for two different sizes! Kathy really describes her patterns well with very clear pictures to it, so you know what step you have to take and when. I really enjoyed making the pencil roll (see October 14, 2008). The Note taker is on my list of 'next fun project' to make. You can get her patterns at Pink Chalk Fabrics. Do take a look there!
Sue Dayley is having a giveaway. Good luck ;-)

Magical Christmas Stitching by Lynette Anderson
This is part of the wonderful border. Don't you just love seeing Santa Claus flying with his reindeer!

So I've finally continued to work on one of my Christmas projects. Part of it is shown on the second entry of October 18th. I finished 'Angels are everywhere' and am now starting with 'I love Santa'. Can't wait to start with the border!
Do take a look here for a free pattern by Lynette. I haven't made it yet, but it does belong to one of my "Yet another gorgeous project to make" list.

I have some more Lynette Anderson stitcheries!
It's Christmas time
Since Christmas will be sooner than later, I started to look what projects I didn't finish last year. And guess what. I found another Lynette Anderson pattern: Magical Christmas Stitching. I'm richer than I thought. As you can see, I completed two parts, one is almost ready and then there is "I love Santa" to go and the gorgeous borders! I find the borders the best part of this quilt!
Hope I'll finish this quilt before Christmas!donderdag 16 oktober 2008
My first stitchery
I had been planning to start quilting again for a very long time, but somehow I couldn't get myself started since I had so many other things to do.
A 10 day stay at the hospital, due to heart problems, made me realize that there is more to life than just work, studying and trying to keep up with everything around me. That is when I found Lynette's pattern at http://www.thelogcabin.de/ in Germany.
Since then each day is filled with stitchery, patchwork, quilting, pincushions, dolls, pencil rolls, etc. etc. A day without it, I feel a bit lost.
