This week I received the first block of the Designer Mystery Block of the Month brought by the Fat Quarter Shop. Twelve different designer will design a block each month. The fabrics are so pretty and make you happy just looking at them.

My Schnibbles is getting along fine. I finished 16 of the 25 blocks. This time I did not use charm packs, but went through my stash. I used fabrics from three different ranges. And I must saying trying to match fabrics from you stash, makes the journey more exciting!
Ik ben al aardig op weg met mijn Schnibbles. Zestien van de 25 blokken zijn af. Dit keer heb ik geen charm packs gebruikt, maar heb ik tussen mijn stash gezocht. Ik heb van drie verschillende ranges stof gebruikt. En ik moet zeggen, dat het spannender is, de stoffen zelf bij elkaar te zoeken, dan kant en klare charms te gebruiken. Het is wel veel makkelijker met charms, ook wat het snijden betreft.
On Saturday DH and I went to Amsterdam to celebrate Laura's birthday. Our little girl will be 19 years old on Monday. It will be the first time we won't celebrate her birthday together. I must say, that does feel empty. But, we were happy to visit her yesterday (O:

Zaterdag hebben we Laura in Amsterdam bezocht om haar verjaardag te vieren. Onze kleine meid wordt al 19 jaar en het is de eerste keer dat we het niet samen vieren. Ik moet zeggen, dat voelt best leeg. We waren wel heel blij dat we het zaterdag met haar hebben kunnen vieren!

Boven rechts: een bekend beeld ;0) Laura en ik waren 'shoppen', terwijl de meesten naar voetbal keken. Heerlijk rustig voor een zaterdagmiddag in Amsterdam. Toen het doelpunt viel, waren we net in een winkel om te kijken. Dus, we hebben niets gemist.
